Giant pumpkin growers from across New York State and the Northeast bring their biggest, heaviest entries to Saratoga Springs this September for the 11th annual Saratoga Giant PumpkinFest Weigh-Off. The free, family-friendly event is organized by the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, Saratoga Springs City Center, and Saratoga Farmers Market.

What to Expect at the Weigh-Off
Growers begin arriving with their pumpkins in the early morning hours, and the official weigh-off gets underway at 11 a.m. Some entries top 1,000 pounds, with a few possibly reaching 2,000. Prizes are awarded for the heaviest pumpkin grown in Saratoga County, the heaviest pumpkin overall, and additional categories. Visitors can walk among dozens of giant pumpkins on display and get photos with the biggest entries of the season.
Music, Food and Farmers Market Vendors
Mandolins Too performs live music throughout the event, and attendees can pick up treats from Nothing Bundt Cakes and Thorn + Roots. The Saratoga Farmers Market operates next door at High Rock Park the same day, adding its own food vendors and special exhibits to the festivities. Attendees are also encouraged to explore downtown Saratoga Springs' shops and restaurants during their visit.
