About this event
The Trillium Chamber Players perform music by Igor Stravinsky, arguably the greatest composer of the 20th century.
His pivotal Soldier’s Tale is rarely performed with the accompanying text. In Stravinsky’s arrangement for clarinet, violin, and piano, Adirondack polymath Pete Nelson will be reciting the work, taking on the roles of narrator, soldier, and devil.
Also on the program, again arranged by the composer, is a version of his delightful, neoclassical ballet, Pulcinella.
Performers are Sarah Douglass, violin; Christine Hoerning, clarinet; and Timothy Mount, piano.
