About this event

The Town of Tupper Lake Recreation Department is hosting a community event this summer in the Tupper Lake Municipal Park, that we hope will be reminiscent of the Woodsmen’s Field Days events of years past, with a modern twist!. We will honor our late Town Supervisor, Clint Hollingsworth, as Parade Grand Marshall, by inviting his family to ride at the head of the parade.

“Tupper Lake Field Day” will be a one-day event on Saturday - July 23, 2022. The parade will be much in the style of the old Woodsmen’s parade; local businesses, groups and community organizations are invited to participate. There will be a float contest, with cash prizes awarded for winners. At the conclusion of the parade, we will host an “Explore the Rigs” event where locals can explore how various heavy machinery and first responder vehicles work and function.

From there, the Tupper Lake Field Day Games will commence! We have put together a schedule of good old-fashioned field games in (youth and adult categories), including sack races, 3-legged races, bucket relays, tug-of-war and a color run! We are also planning a special event for our local first responders to compete in, to show them some community support. Other participants include local food trucks, vendors, carnival style games, a face painter and other activities guaranteed to bring smiles to all ages.
